Clearly, the Art market is on the threshold of an upswing in terms of investor confidence

Art analysis firm ArtTactic’s confidence indicator for the Indian art market has more than doubled, sending positive signals to investors.

In fact, recovery in the Indian art market could occur earlier than expected, according to the latest research report released by the London-based art market analysis firm. The report suggests there is renewed confidence evident in the market that incidentally had dipped to an all-time low only six months ago.

The report holds significance since ArtTactic, set up by Anders Petterson almost a decade ago, is an internationally reputed agency. It comes up with research and commentary by combining both quantitative and qualitative tools. Its studies are backed by an in-depth knowledge of the art market’s .

ArtTactic employs analytical frameworks and methodologies for the art market often employed by economists and the financial experts. Anders Petterson, ArtTactic managing director, elaborates, “The survey sample is a cross-section of key players in the Indian art market many of whom have a long-term interest in it, and hence their answers are not driven by short-term decisions.”

Its confidence indicator for the Indian art market is now pegged just under the 50 mark, at 49. The 50 mark importantly, suggests there are an equal number of negative and positive responses on the outlook for the art market in the near term. In May, the indicator was well in the negative territory, pegged at an abysmally low number of 20.

With a previous study in Fashion Design, Sara is mainly inspired by the latest trends in fashion, and draws her creativity from fashion magazines such as Lula, Yen and Vogue. She loves to experiment with different styles, creating most of her pieces through a combination of original drawings and paint on watercolour paper.

"I draw and shade in pencil, and colour using either ink or watercolour. I love the way ink and watercolour can be layered and added to, and it always creates different colours. You know the approximate colour that will come out, but it's always going to be a little bit different."

I can't get these pictures out of my head.
Especially the last one is mesmerizing. Is it peaceful? Mysterious? Haunting? Creepy? Brutal?
The mass in the first two paintings that makes up a threatening, or at least disquieting block, is here replaced by three distinct figures. The space is neither claustrophobic, as in the first one, nor agoraphobic, as could be claimed about the second (notice the ceiling moving up above the horizontal line that "closes" the picture). In the third picture, the space is abstract. It is the water we often feel is the closest to the sky. So what's the matter? Maybe it's the skyish space combined with the strokes, the juicy, dripping pinks that get feverish in the center? Maybe it's the unfaceness of these faces? The ghost should be ephemeral, translucid. Yet here, the ghosts are opaque. They are thick with body. And moving in.

My love again continues for the ballet in this piece,I thought it would be fun to
do a larger piece this time,giving it a lot of focus and meaning.
The blue color with black and white trim gives it movement with just enough bleed in the ink to take up surface and give it a fluid effect.

Stance to me captures the way I like to look at the shoe and the movement of the ballet.
In this particular piece I use four images and bleed them a bit down the paper.
I love the faded out or washed feeling this piece gives off and the colors of the red and blues mixing together.

I have always enjoyed playing the shoe off of other objects such as this one here, the bowl with it's Asian feeling and the pumps for one reason or another resting in the bowl with heels hanging over the edge.

So much of my work is based around the high heel,this particular piece I feel is the best example
of my work to date as far as a flat sandal goes.
The colors ,the way the shoes are situated flow in a way that makes them seem to be floating off the paper.

I enjoy the power and simplicity of black and white, I find it leaves so much to the imagination.
